2012 Camry Awarded Five Star Rating by Traffic Safety Administration

Safety of our customers is nothing Schaumburg Toyota has ever taken lightly, which is why we were so happy to see the latest news from the Traffic Safety Administration.  The all-new 2012 Camry has recently been awarded a five-star composite safety rating.  When you consider the vehicle was put through an even more rigorous NHTSA testing procedure that was aimed to raise the bar for overall vehicle safety, which we welcome,  it makes the fact the 2012 Camry was given a five-star safety rating even more impressive.
We appreciate the fact that buying a new vehicle is a big decision.  Consumers are interested in more than just what it looks like, and the newly redesigned Camry takes this into consideration.  The Camry’s safety focused engineering and strong design have factored into it being the nation’s top-selling car.  There are a number of interesting features that led to this exciting award. The 2012 version includes a reinforced body structure that can prevent cabin deformity during certain collisions due to its utilization of high strength steel construction.  It also allows the vehicle to absorb impact energies and help protect the safety of the occupants.  In addition to this, the 2012 edition is also equipped with class leading 10 standard airbags in the unfortunate event of an accident.
And, as with all Toyota models, the new Camry has the Star Safety System to help reduce the likelihood of a collision.  Some of the features that come standard with all new Toyota vehicles are the Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Smart Stop Technology brake override system, and the tire pressure monitoring system.
Awards are not the reason we, at Schaumburg Toyota, are proud of the 2012 Camry.  The reason we take so much pride in our vehicles is because it allows us to know that we are helping keep the roads as safe as possible.  This award is not enough for the designers and engineers at Toyota, and they will continue their efforts toward occupant safety.  In doing so, we will not only continue to help set the bar for vehicle safety, but also work hard to raise it.
