Philanthropic Toyota

According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, the word philanthropy can be defined as an act or gift done or made for humanitarian purposes.  Let’s face it, in today’s dog eat dog world, there are not that many people, let alone companies that have that philanthropic trait.  We here at Schaumburg Toyota, your area Elgin Toyota dealer, feel that it truly takes an extremely special person and/or organization to want to help others in need simply out of the sheer kindness of their heart.

Recently, we found out that one of those exceptional philanthropic organizations is none other than our very own Toyota.  In Northwest Chicago suburbs, like Barrington, 4Runner and a multitude of other Toyota model owners can feel proud to be representing such a humanitarian company through the cars they drive.  You see, Toyota is currently running its “100 Cars for Good” program.  This unique program even involves the general public in helping to decide which specific 100 non for profit organizations are to receive a brand new Toyota with their choice of the following models; Toyota Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander Hybrid, Sienna or Sienna Mobility.  These cars will also come with a six year, 100,000 mile Toyota Vehicle Agreement, courtesy of the Toyota Financial Services department.

Beginning on May 9th and running all the way until August 16th, the general public is invited and encouraged to vote on one deserving non-for profit organization of their choice that will receive a Toyota vehicle.  Jim Lentz, president of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. wants everyone to know that,

“The positive impact of these organizations in their respective communities is immeasurable. We encourage the public to learn more about these great nonprofits and actively participate by casting a vote. We wish all of the finalists the best of luck.”

Initially there were 500 finalists chosen that represented a wide range of non-for profit categories that include animal welfare, arts, education, environment, health, safety, human services, and many others.  For the full list of finalists, please check out the following website and after careful research, cast your vote for the most deserving non-for profit organization at www.facebook.com/toyota.  Make sure you log in daily from now until August 16th to cast your vote, because like we said before, Toyota wants you to help them hand out 100 Toyota vehicles to the organizations that deserve them most!
