Dress For The Weather In An SUV From Toyota
Can the weather influence your decision of which car to buy? Judging by the February 2014 sales numbers Toyota recently released which show record-setting sales for several Toyota SUV and crossover models, it very well might.
Few will dispute that the winter we’ve experienced in the area was pretty incredible — and not in a, “wow, that pizza was incredible” kind of way. No, the winter we experienced was more like “wow, the pain from that root canal was incredible!” To get around in this type of weather, it really helps to have a vehicle that can handle almost anything. That’s where a Toyota SUV from Schaumburg Toyota can really earn its keep: when the roadways get slushy, then icy, and then snowy, it’s great to have available all-wheel drive on your side.
And it seems that sentiment was quite popular — the 2014 Toyota Highlander and 2014 Toyota RAV4 had very strong showings during February 2014 with both models posting their best ever sales numbers for the month. The 2014 Toyota Highlander posted sales of 12,052 vehicles for a gain of 29.5 percent compared to the same period last year. The 2014 Toyota RAV4 also posted double-digit gains with an increase of 23.4 compared to the same period last year, with sales of 16,451 vehicles. The 2014 Toyota 4Runner posted a 17.2 percent gain with sales of 4,662 vehicles. Overall, the company’s SUV and crossover model range posted a 15.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year, selling 38,111 vehicles during February 2014.
According to Bill Fay, Group Vice President and General Manager, Toyota Division: “February auto sales emerged from a chill in the second half of the month, poising the industry for a strong March… For Toyota, strong truck sales were a highlight this month, with RAV4 and Highlander posting best-ever February results.”
Come to your Toyota dealers serving Des Plaines to test drive a 2014 Toyota Highlander. Sure, spring is on the way, but winter is never really that far behind, is it?
