Toyota leads the pack

When you think of brands, which ones come to mind?  If you were to rank your top brands, from any market, what would they be?  The ability of a consumer to recall a brand, the willingness of a consumer to be brand loyal and the satisfaction of a consumer with a brand’s products are undeniably important to companies.  In fact, a brand’s image with consumers is arguably the single most important factor to determining a brand’s, and ultimately a company’s, success.

Thus, when Interbrand, a leading brand-consulting agency, releases its annual 100 Best Global Brands report, the whole world listens.  This year’s report marked the 12^th year for Interbrand’s ranking and the second year that our very own Toyota has been the leading automotive global brand on the list.

But despite Toyota’s first place finish last year, the company continued to work hard to become an even better recognized and more respected global brand.  After all, Toyota does not want to be just the first automotive brand on Interbrand’s list, but we want to be first overall on the list.

Toyota’s efforts to improve over the last year did not go unnoticed.  While their latest models available for purchase on our Elgin Toyota dealer lot of Schaumburg Toyota speak to the company’s continued improvement in a multitude of categories, Toyota also proved its continued improvement to Interbrand.  The company notes Toyota has improved its brand’s value by six percent over the past, somewhat tumultuous, year (due to the tsunami in Japan).

Interbrand’s CEO Jez Frampton says the ability for Toyota, and all companies, to continue to improve and adapt to the modern day consumer and market is key to a company’s long-term success.  He said, “Uncertainty is the new status quo, so today’s brands need to be quick and nimble.  Consistency, relevance and commitment are imperative if a brand is to keep pace in our rapidly changing world.”
