Make Your Transmission Last at Schaumburg Toyota near Palatine, IL

If you drive a Toyota truck like the ones in our new car inventory, you know how capable and versatile they are. Like the other automobiles in our showroom, Toyota trucks are made to last. No matter how well-made a given car is, however, it won’t matter if it isn’t taken care of.

Every vehicle, including the ones in our showroom, experiences wear and tear over time. As Toyota dealers, we can tell you the best defense against the effects of wear and tear is to stick to your car’s routine maintenance schedule, which you can find in your owner’s manual.

When you look over your car’s routine maintenance schedule, you’ll notice that you can’t just assume your transmission will continue to work without maintenance. Having the fluid in your transmission replaced is one of the things you’ll have to do to keep your transmission in good condition.

Vehicles outfitted with a manual transmission will typically need new fluid every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. If you tow and haul things with your automobile often, you may have to change the liquid in your manual transmission as often as every 15,000 miles. Cars equipped with an automatic transmission normally have to change their transmission fluid every 60,000 to 100,000 miles, but it should be noted that some automatic transmissions never need to have their fluid replaced. To see if and when you’ll need to have the fluid in your car’s transmission changed, consult your owner’s manual or contact Schaumburg Toyota.

Just like you should make an appointment to bring your vehicle into our Toyota service center near Palatine, IL whenever it’s due for some work, you should visit our Toyota parts center when you’re looking for an OEM part.
