Toyota Announces New Additions to the Prius Family
Whenever we at Schaumburg Toyota, your closest Palatine Toyota dealer, find out that there will be a new addition to someone’s family we get super excited. And when it comes to our very own family, it truly seems there is nothing as amazing or more important as getting ready to meet your sweet little bundle of joy. Since we love our Toyotas, we are just as eager to meet the entire Prius family as it starts making its way into our dealership in 2011 and 2012.
Several models, the Prius V, Prius C, and the Prius Plug-in, will be making their way into dealerships across the country, like ours, within the next two years. And boy oh boy are bursting with excitement because we will now be able to offer new vehicles on the Prius platform that will be boasting the jaw dropping fuel saving technology to a wider range of our future customers. You see, the new Prius models will be hitting a larger customer demographic. The Prius V, will be the first of the Prius models to arrive in dealerships sometime in the middle of this year. This particular Prius model is built for those in the market for a high mpg option, but rejected the original Prius model, currently out on the roads, because they felt it was too small. For many people, such as Palatine used Prius drivers, their original Prius is perfect for their small family. However, the Prius V has a much larger interior space that may very well cater to larger family units looking to save on the foreseeable rising price of gas.
The Prius C and the Prius Plug-in will be arriving in dealerships a bit later, perhaps sometime in the first half of 2012. Quite the opposite of the Prius V and the original Prius, the Prius C will be a much more compact car, that will have the highest mpg of all the models on the Prius platform. The Prius Plug-in will have the same shape as the original Prius, but will come with even more fuel saving plug-in technology. In fact, Toyota is so confident it its new Prius models, the Bob Carter, Toyota’s U.S sales chief recently informed journalists at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show that the Prius family will become, “the number one nameplate in the industry” by the year 2020.
