Outstanding Toyota Hybrid Technology

It is no secret that Toyota is the leader of the global automotive pack when it comes to producing vehicles, such as those of Palatine Corolla owners that are extremely fuel-efficient.  Now, even though the Corolla gets up to 28 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highway, it still does not compare to the fuel-efficient hybrid we all here at Schaumburg Toyota love, the Prius.

The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, which is comprised of Volkswagen, the Detroit Three automakers, and several other companies that also include Toyota aren’t necessarily buying into new fuel-efficient technologies as Toyota is.  Not counting Toyota, the companies that are part of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers debate the benefits of these technologies.  They keep focusing on the notions that new fuel efficient technologies have a high production cost, reduce overall vehicle differentiation, and don’t really save their consumers any money.  But Toyota is continually proving them wrong because if you ask all of the Northwest Suburban Prius owners and even Palatine used Prius drivers, they will be the first to tell you of the exorbitant amount of savings they are getting from their ever dependable and affordable Prius.  Toyota seems to have the magic recipe when it comes to its low cost but high mile per gallon strategies.  Even though it may appear that Toyota is not using the newest of technologies, they are using ones that reduce the overall price of their hybrids, thus allowing them to produce Prius and future different models in high quantity and quality while at the same time making them extremely affordable to consumers.

While the other automakers seem to debate the obvious benefits of hybrids and their production, Toyota is out to raise new fuel efficiency standards in their current and future Prius hybrid models, such as the futuristic and sporty Prius C that will be beating the current 50 miles per gallon Prius will be making its debut in early 2012.  In fact, Toyota appears to be one of the only automakers that is supporting whatever goal our current President and his administration set for the automotive industry.  According to Jim Colon, Toyota’s Vice President, “If it’s 62 miles a gallon, we’ll be able to achieve that.”
