Plenty of appealing automobiles are on display at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI, but few have created as much excitement as the all-new 2019 Toyota Avalon. Upgrades, advancements, and additions are found throughout this flagship full-size sedan, with highlights including:

On the powertrains side, the Toyota Avalon Hybrid is still the only full hybrid vehicle in its class, and the 2019 model features a brand-new setup: a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4C hybrid system with a 650-volt electric motor, paired with a continuously-variable transmission (CVT). The gasoline-powered 2019 Toyota Avalon also gets a new engine: a 3.5L V6 that sets new marks for power and fuel-efficiency, and works with an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission.
