Toyota Celebrates 35 Years of R&D in the USA

Toyota is celebrating its thirty fifth year of research and development in the United States. Toyota Technical Center has been a driving force behind much of Toyota’s engineering and research and development activities since 1977. Toyota recognizes the great innovations and advancements that have come out of the United States by way of the Toyota Technical Center, and realizes that it has played an important role in a great deal of the vehicles that are available at Schaumburg Toyota. Some of those include the 2012 Toyota Sienna, Venza, RAV4 to name a few.

In 2011, the TTC established the Collaborative Safety Research Center. It was created to complement its advanced research, and has committed $50 million towards safety related research. The new innovations from this collaboration have not been realized yet, but luckily it follows in a long line of other research that has led to Toyota vehicles consistently being rated among the safest vehicles available. To continue this tradition in 2012 the CSRC has partnered with sixteen universities, agencies, and research institutions on over two dozen projects to help advance auto safety in the next generation of vehicles across the industry because auto safety is important to everyone.
