Toyota Continues To Respect Environment

What a way to finish out the year of 2012 than to think about ways we can make changes and improvements to the way we view the environment.  There is not only one way to make improvements on this front, but if you are thinking about getting a new vehicle choosing one that goes farther in terms of miles per gallon is a smart and easy choice.  The people at Toyota have also been looking at ways to make changes which has led to the steady increase in the miles per gallon ability of many of our vehicles.  One such vehicle you will be able to find on the lot at Schaumburg Toyota is the 2013 Toyota Prius c. 

There were a number of yearly and multi year achievements in 2012 for Toyota.  We have continued to exceed requirements under the Corporate Average Fuel Economy.  There has been a 15 percent reduction in energy consumption per vehicle since 2002, and a 7 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per vehicle produced since 2008.  Not only is Toyota focused on increasing its fuel efficiency, but also on reducing the waste at our manufacturing plants.  This year Toyota was able to achieve zero waste at ten of our North American plants.  And through vibrant local partnerships Toyota has been able to team up with nearly 900 volunteer events with TogetherGreen.
