All of us here at Schaumburg Toyota are thrilled to announce that Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) is one of the leading automotive brands when it comes to hybrid vehicle sales. In fact, TMS recently announced that nearly 2 million of the total 5 million hybrid vehicles sold in the United States have been from the TMS brand!

Current hybrid models available from Toyota include the Prius Liftback, Prius v, Prius c, Prius Plug-in, Camry Hybrid, Avalon Hybrid, and Highlander Hybrid. High sales of these models have undoubtedly helped to significantly reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. Tony Markel, senior engineer with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), spoke of the significance of hybrid vehicles by saying:

“With more than 50 hybrid vehicle models from various manufacturers available in the U.S. today, hybrids on the road are saving nearly 500 million gallons of petroleum annually in this country.”
