Toyota: going the distance to reclaim customer satisfaction

March 29th, 2010 by

Amidst the recent Toyota recall, our Schaumburg Prius dealer, Schaumburg Toyota, has been working hard, along with Toyota, to restore customer’s trust in the brand.  The efforts thus far have been highly regarded and greatly appreciated.  The company ran a commercial during the opening ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games in which the brand apologized to its customers for not “…living up to the standards that you’ve come to expect from us or that we expect from ourselves,” and promised to “restore your faith in our company.”  As we are all taught in kindergarten, everyone makes mistakes and the important thing is to apologize, learn from them, and move on.  Toyota is doing just that.

The Schaumburg Used Prius dealer is confident the brand’s efforts will soon restore its place atop the automotive feeding chain thanks to recent poll numbers.  A survey conducted by Ace Metrix of 6,783 consumers between the ages of 21 to 60 had positive reactions to Toyota’s efforts to apologize and explain the reasons for the recall through their commercials.  The survey found that people were less likely to question the automaker in a negative fashion after viewing the ad.  In addition, more people who participated in the survey agreed that it was “a great time to buy a Toyota,” than had in the past.

Toyota is also combating the challenges of the recall with unheard of incentives and offers on both new and used models.  One such deal is zero percent financing for sixty months on Camry and Corolla models. Also, the Schaumburg Used Prius dealer expects great deals to come for the coveted king of hybrids.  Other terrific deals are expected for the new model, says the Schaumburg Prius dealer.  The 2010 version is one of the smartest cars available and is definitely leading the hybrid market, so incentives will likely not be needed to sell the car.  However, Toyota is determined to regain its reputation and customer’s trust and so, they will likely offer incentives anyway.

Personally, I know I’m excited for Toyota to fix all recall issues and begin to offer these great incentives.  I’ve always felt the Prius was a great car, and now I just might have enough extra push to actually jump into investing in one of my own.  I definitely plan to visit Schaumburg Toyota for a test drive.  After getting behind the wheel of a Prius, I’m sure my ability to turn down the impressive hybrid will completely diminish.
