Toyota Highlander Hybrid and Prius win Best Cars for Families Award

When you have a family there is so much more to think about than just yourself. You have to take things into consideration that hadn’t even crossed you mind before, and you have to think harder about your list and order of priorities. Near the top of that list is what vehicle your children will ride in to ensure they are as safe as possible. It has always been a priority for Schaumburg Toyota to keep our customers as safe as possible so that is why we were pleased to hear that the 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and the 2013 Toyota Prius have been named the Best Cars for Families awards by U.S. News and World Report.

The 2013 Highlander Hybrid won the best Hybrid SUV for Families award for the third year in a row, and the 2013 Prius brought home top honors in the Best Hatchback for Families category. The Best Cars for Families awards combine a number of different factors including quality, size, and family friendly features into a composite score. The rankings compare cars on the basis of safety, reliability and a consensus of automotive critics’ opinions. Size factors in seating capacity and interior space. Family friendly features are ranked by the U.S. News editors based on the availability of features deemed to be helpful to families. If you’re about to welcome your first child into your family or your family continues to grow considering either of these vehicles would be something you and your family should think about.
