Toyota launches teen driving program

The Toyota family has always been strongly committed to safety for our drivers and passengers. One of the most vulnerable driving populations is teenagers, and Toyota is especially committed to helping these drivers stay safe. In an effort to increase teen driving safety, we are pleased to announce that Toyota has launched a driving safety platform that was designed help families navigate the critical first year of a teen’s independent driving. The new platform, TeenDrive365, highlights the teen driving programs and resources that Toyota has already been offering, while also encouraging an ongoing dialogue between parents and teens.

Dr. Tina Sayer, who is the Toyota Collaborative Safety Research Center Principal Engineer and teen safe driving expert, spoke of the commitment to driving safety by saying:

“We like to say that driver’s education begins the day a parent turns their child’s car seat around to face forward. … It’s so important that parents understand that the actions they take and the expectations they set for young drivers each day are powerful factors in encouraging a lifetime of safe behavior behind the wheel.”
