Toyota offers the public a chance to design their own race car
With the 2010 Nascar Sprint All-Star Race on its way, Toyota has decided to allow Nascar fans and car lovers alike to share a piece of the action by giving them a chance to design their own race car. For those who wish to take Toyota up on their offer should visit the website to find out more information. Those who want to purchase or test drive a Schaumburg Camry or Corolla should visit their local Toyota dealer as well.
The Toyota Racing’s Sponsafy Your Ride Contest is giving interested individuals the chance design their own race car and enter it. The winning prize? A amazing chance to ride shotgun as their personalized vehicle circles the track at the 2010 Nascar Sprint All-Star Race before the event begins. What Nascar fan wouldn’t love this opportunity? Just imagine: designing your own personal car on the website, entering it, and riding your creation in the flesh as thousands of Nascar fans watch you ride in the passenger seat at this exciting event. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This chance is only available until March 15, and ten finalists will be chosen on April 1 to advance to the next round of the contest.
Current owners of a Schaumburg Camry, Schaumburg used Corolla, or any other Toyota vehicle are more than welcome to join the Nascar fans who are entering the contest. In fact, anyone in the United States and who is age 13 or older (individual states may vary) are allowed to submit an entry, as long as they are not an employee of Toyota, affiliated with the company, or related to someone who is. Other contest restrictions including how to enter and rules for designing a vehicle can be found at www.sponsafier.com or www.toyotaracing.com.
Between March 15 and April 1, each entrant’s design that is approved will be eligible to be posted for public voting on www.toyotaracing.com. At the end of this period, the ten entrants whose design receives the highest number of valid votes will each be deemed a finalist. Between April 1 and April 15, the ten finalists will be posted for public voting on the same website once again. Between April 16 and April 22, qualified judges will review and judge the ten finalists on criteria such as originality, feasibility, creativity, number of votes, and ability to inspire consumers. More details can be found at www.sponsafier.com/rules where interested individuals can find out if they are eligible to enter the contest. Although I will not be submitting an entry, I will definitely be monitoring the website to see all the exciting designs that have been entered, and possibly vote for someone’s car to be driven at the 2010 Nascar Sprint All-Star Race.
