Prius Breaks New World Record

There is no denying Toyota’s marketing ingenuity.  Recently, Toyota had the world involved in the brilliant naming the plural of Prius campaign.  People reacted positively to this and cast their votes to determine that the plural of Prius would be Prii.  It seemed that everyone, even local Chicago Northwest Suburban Barrington 4Runner drivers wanted to be involved in helping Toyota figure out what they should call the new family of green vehicles that will be joining the Prius in the near future.

Now, Toyota’s Prius Hybrid is back in the spot light once again.  But this time it’s because of its rad World Record breaking skills.  You may ask yourself isn’t that impossible?  How can a highly fuel efficient Toyota Prius Hybrid break a World Record for something so bizarre like growing the longest eyebrow?   Aren’t people and possibly animals the only ones to break World Records?  Well, we here at Schaumburg Toyota, thought so too.   But, according to the founder and President of Universal Record Database, Dan Rollman, “everyone on Earth can be the world’s best at something.”  And leave it to the Toyota Motor Corporation to find a way to involve the Toyota Prius Hybrid to be the best they could be at something.

Overall, Toyota has tried to break over 200 different World Record attempts that involved the Prius hybrid over the course of only two days.  These involved kid friendly amusing attempts such as setting the record for the “Most Gummy Bears Stuck to the Windows of a Prius in Two Minutes” spoke volumes in terms of just how much fun of a vehicle the Prius is.  If you were wondering, what record the Prius set in this category, well 924 gummy bears were stuck onto the exterior windows of a Prius in two minutes setting a New World Record and the Prius’ 141^st record.

These extremely creative attempts by the Prius and Toyota are here to show the world the fun side of this hybrid that accounts for 50% of hybrids sold in the United States alone.  With 206 Prius related records set, this highly eco conscious and fuel friendly vehicle will also soon be known for its ultimate fun factor.
