Toyota reaffirms commitment to North America

                                                                                                                                                                                        Toyota continues to reaffirm its commitment to both its innovative vehicles and the North American customer.  Toyota has made a commitment to hire approximately 150 engineers, technicians, advanced researchers and scientists by the end of 2012, and another 100 over the next five years.  Schaumburg Toyota welcomes these new Toyota employees to the team because it will localize vehicle design and ensure the innovative technology continues to advance in a wide variety of vehicles, like the 2012 Toyota RAV4.

The new hires will continue to further the engine and transmission development for the North American market.  They will also focus on advancing research and building prototypes to ensure the best safety and design for future models.  Their development responsibilities will include the Camry, Venza, and RAV4 to name a few.  This will lead to the vehicles of tomorrow, but innovating vehicles is nothing new having always been a driving force at Toyota.  The 2012 RAV4 is an example of Toyota’s commitment to evolving our models into the best they can be.  The Star Safety System, standard in all 2012 RAV4 models, include enhanced vehicle stability control and smart stop technology among other things.  There is also a driver and front passenger advanced airbag system.
