Toyota Sales are Going Up, Up, Up

Across the board, from Toyota SUVs like the Toyota Highlander to record-setting sedans like a Toyota Corolla near Palatine, IL, Toyota sales are going up, up, up. The most recent evidence of this fact comes via the Toyota brand’s June 2018 sales numbers, which are the stuff of other automakers’ dreams.

Believe it or not, Toyota Motor Sales USA has already sold close to 1.2M vehicles this year, which is up 3% from this time last year. And in June 2018 alone, the Toyota brand sold more than 185,800 models to happy customers from coast to coast, a 4.4% year over year (YOY) increase from June 2017. It’s impossible to pin the Toyota brand’s success on one model, since contributions are of the across-the-board type. For example, the Toyota Corolla sold close to 26,000 units in June 2018 alone – and that’s before the much-anticipated 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback has even entered the picture. No wonder the Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car of all time.

In the SUV category, the do-everything Toyota Highlander is one of the hottest vehicles in the auto industry. This seven-passenger SUV not only had its best-ever June, with YOY sales increasing by almost 21%, it also achieved its best-ever first half. That’s a nigh-incredible feat, considering how popular this SUV already is with families in Chicago and nationwide. Not to be outdone, the Toyota RAV4 – already the Toyota brand’s best-selling SUV – also enjoyed its best-ever June and best-ever first half.
