Toyota Teams Up To Increase Teen Driver Safety
Toyota has announced, along with Discovery Education, a couple of challenges aimed at reducing dangerous driving habits teens may be susceptible to and, in turn, helping to increase driver safety across the board. Parents know that a teen getting their license is both a blessing and a source of worry. Motor vehicle crashes remain the number one cause of teen deaths. Current research shows that motor vehicle crashes account for more deaths among teens than so many other causes combined, and we think that is just unacceptable. Because of this we, at Schaumburg Toyota, are proud that Toyota is helping to reduce this by starting the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge and the Toyota Teen Driver Educators’ Challenge, and they are now open for entries. This won’t stop parents from worrying, but providing useful safe driving tools to parents, teachers, and teens is making the roads safer. And making sure they have a safe vehicle, like the 2012 Toyota Camry, will help ease that worry a little bit.
Safe driving tools should be followed by everyone, and everyone has a responsibility when they get behind the wheel to keep the roads safe. Getting the education tools out there is something that we take just as seriously as making sure our vehicles are as safe as they can be. Come to Schaumburg Toyota to take a look at our safe vehicle options, and at the same time sit down with your teens and talk to them about the importance and responsibility of safe driving.
